Fordham University Commencement 2010

Fordham University’s 165th commencement is about to begin at the Rose Hill campus in the Bronx. Mary McAleese, president of Ireland, will be delivering the keynote commencement address. 3,151 students will be granted bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. McAleese, as well as the Lieutenant Governor of New York, Richard Ravitch, will each receive a doctorate of laws, honoris causa.

Other degrees being bestowed include:

Francis M. Campbell, the United Kingdom’s ambassador to the Holy See, Miguel Humberto Diaz, the U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See, and Alfonso J. “Alfy” Fanjul, Jr., chairman and CEO of the Fanjul Corp. and Florida Crystals Corporation.

David de la Fuente will address the Fordham College at Lincoln Center class of 2010 as the class’ elected salutatorian during the FCLC diploma ceremony. Patrick Tighe will be serving as the banner bearer, carrying the FCLC banner into commencement and the FCLC diploma ceremony, and Amanda Vardi will be hooded as Beadle at the commencement ceremony, representing the college class.
