Fordham (Finally) Greets Gmail

Laura Chang

Since the 2010 Spring semester, Fordham College at Lincoln Center’s (FCLC) students have heard from Fordham Information Technology (IT) that Fordham mail will upgrade to the newer and better Gmail. While students anticipate the transition to occur, Fordham IT has continuously sent out email alerts that keep the FCLC community updated. Well, students wait no longer because, as of Tuesday, Fordham mail has been tossed out the window as we welcome the brand new Gmail for Fordham. That’s why your email was down all weekend–so the “magic” could happen. From here on out, students will wake up to a fresh new look on the Fordham Gmail. For more information and follow-up information regarding this transition, stay tuned at http://www.fordham.edu/gmail and in the portal via the ‘Student Tab,’ ‘Fordham Goes Google’ channel! And stay tuned, there are sure to be rants and raves on the Observatory coming soon!
