Start listening for the buzzing!

Ashley Tedesco, blog editor

Fordham’s safety and security text messaging emergency alert system is being tested, which means you should be receiving a text message in the near future. If you’re in class, you have the added benefit of hearing the staggered buzzing and beeping from all around you. Reply to the text message with “YES” to indicate you have received the message, so that you don’t continue to receive duplicate messages. Of course, if you’re responsible and ignore your phone during class, don’t be surprised when you find you have 2 new text messages, a missed call and a voicemail from an unknown number.

In other news, speaking of text messages: McMahon’s package room alert system is back up and running, after being down for about a week. If you’ve been expecting a package and didn’t get a text or email, visit the package room to find out if it has arrived.
