FCLC Lights Christmas Tree on the Plaza

Ashley Tedesco, blog editor

Last night, USG and CAB teamed up once again to host the annual Christmas Tree Lighting on the outdoor plaza. The rain let up for a short time to allow an only slightly damp event to take place. The year-old FCLC a capella group performed four carols. If you missed the carolling, be sure to check out the a capella group’s performance next Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Atrium.

As always, mugs were handed out after the lighting and hot cocoa was served–though not together: USG representatives urged students not to use their mugs before thoroughly washing them. Cocoa ran out rather quickly, and the crowd dispersed by 6, with some headed to the Colleges Against Cancer and CAB Holiday Party, and others on their way to watch the other magical event: the Christmas Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Center. The tree will remain lit through the holiday season, so if you missed the lighting last night, check out the tree as soon as the sun goes down!
