It’s that time of the year again, and no, I am not talking about finals time. The 7th Annual Columbus Circle Holiday Market has finally opened! From now until Christmas Eve, you can stock up on unique goodies for your family and friends (or even just for yourself!) without leaving the neighborhood. With around 120 different vendors, you will certainly be able to find a gift for everyone.

The market, which is “designed in the tradition of the Northern European holiday market, familiar in cities from Copenhagen to Munich” according to Urban Space, features canvas booths filled with items such as handcrafted jewelry and accessories, homemade soap, gingerbread houses, spices, chocolate and toys (oh my!) If all that shopping made you work up an appetite once you are finished, you can grab a cup of cider or bite to eat from one of the other vendors.

The market is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays, but I strongly suggest that you visit it when it is dark out, to fully capture the true holiday feel. That way you can see the lights on the trees in front of Time Warner from afar, as well as the lights inside the marketplace. You will be so captivated by the holiday spirit, that you will not notice your wallet slowly decreasing in size.
