Campus Happenings: The Not-A-Snow-Day Edition

Ashley Tedesco, blog editor

Happy February! It might be gross outside, but school is still in session today at Fordham. (That is, unless you attend the Westchester campus, which has cancelled classes beginning at 3 p.m. today.) Beat the gray sky blues with some of the exciting events (and food!) going on on campus today.

Relay for Life will be selling cupcakes on the plaza to raise funds for Relay 2011 from 11:30 until 3 p.m..

GO! Ghana will also be hosting a bake sale on the plaza from noon through 6 p.m. Mmm!

Commuters rejoice! Commuter Student Services will host a commuter break on the indoor plaza at 12:45.

Fordham University Emerging Leaders (FUEL) will host its last information session at 1 p.m. in the student lounge.

Molimo is hosting an open dialogue called Do We Really Need a Black History Month? at 6 p.m. tonight in the student lounge.

Also, today is the last day to take bets on whether or not that pesky Punxatawney Phil (I’m from PA, okay? He’s the REAL groundhog!) will see his shadow tomorrow morning. Based on the current forecasts, I doubt winter is ending anytime soon.
