Katie Lockhart, assistant arts editor

It’s official! Fordham’s main act for this year’s Spring Weekend is Third Eye Blind. The group started in 1997 out of San Francisco and became famous for hit songs like “Jumper” and “Semi-Charmed Life.” The band has just released their fourth studio album called “Ursa Major.”

Third Eye Blind previously played Spring Weekend but will play again on Saturday, April 30 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Martyr’s Lawn following the DJ duo White Panda, who will play on Friday, April 29 at 9:30 p.m. in A-Lot.

Opening for Third Eye Blind is Matt Corey, who has opened for the likes of Lil Wayne, O.A.R, and Dave Matthews Band. Before the show starts, there will be free food, drinks and novelties on the lawn.

Do you know how we get tickets? I’m legitimately excited about this, and it’s the first time I’ve actually wanted to go to Spring Weekend.
